Come on Sunday, September 25 and have lunch! You will have a choice of ham and beans, or baked potato soup or chili (or possibly stew) served with cornbread. For dessert: hot fudge sundaes!
All you have to do for this free lunch is come to worship service at 11:00 that morning and if you are a member, participate in the congregational meeting held immediately at the end of the worship service. The purpose of this meeting is to elect members for the Officer Nominating Committee. This committee will be responsible for presenting new officer candidates to serve as Elders, Deacons and Trustees for 2023. Nominations for this committee will be taken from the floor to fill two positions. If you intend to nominate someone who will be absent from this meeting, secure their consent to serve ahead of time.
Nonmembers are most certainly welcome to come to worship service but can skip the meeting and go down to the basement to be first in line for lunch. Everyone is invited!
