Starting Sunday, June 7, we will have a "Casual Summer" here at First Pres. Some of our regular activities are being suspended for the summer. Our Children's Worship program is taking a break for the summer. We will still have an age appropriate worship experience on the first Sundays, with the kids returning to sit with their families in time for communion. The churches of the Ministerial Alliance are holding a gathering. We meet on fifth Sundays to share in worship, prayer, and fellowship. On Sunday, May 31, at 6:00pm, we will gather at the First Christian Church of Pauls Valley. This is a great opportunity to get know the people of other congregations across our community, and to care for each other through prayer. Come join us! Pentecost Sunday is sometimes called the birthday of the church because that's when the Holy Spirit was given to be among the first Christians and bind them together in community That's this Sunday! Red is the color of Pentecost, so wear your most festive red, and we will celebrate with a "birthday party" reception on Sunday, May 24, after the worship service. Come and help yourself to a cupcake!
