Broadway Meets Vivaldi in Pauls Valley!

Mark your calendars now. Sunday, April 30, at 4:00 pm in the Pauls Valley High School Auditorium, the Garvin County Choral Society & Sinfonietta presents their spring concert: Broadway Meets Vivaldi in Pauls Valley. Come enjoy talented musicians from the area along with some great music from the 18th and 20th centuries.

The program includes:

• the Garvin County Sinfonietta with bassoon soloist Larry Reed, playing Vivaldi's Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra

• the Garvin County Chorale in Vivaldi's famous Gloria (soloists: Melody Baggech, Mary Gowing, Holley Sanders)

• choral highlights from Beauty and the Beast (soloists: Melody Baggech, Jeanne Balcerak, Wiley Winters, Alan Marshall)

• highlights from the Sound of Music (soloists: Vicki Rennie, Laura Ledbetter, Jay Carlton, Alan Marshall). Our own local Maria von Trapp (soprano Vicki Rennie) returns for a reunion appearance from Pauls Valley's former production, and she brings seven young new members of the "von Trapp" family.

They are joined by 50 singers from Pauls Valley Intermediate School (Candace Gibson, music teacher) and the Pauls Valley Elementary School (Charla Forrester, music teacher). The concert ends with the audience joining in a sing-along.

Advance sale tickets for $20 are available at the Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce. Adult tickets at the door are $25. Youth and students under 20 years of age are free.
