Children's Worship This Summer

Every Sunday during the school year, children from preschool to 2nd grade are invited to participate in an age-appropriate worship experience. During the Summer, we will have a full Children's worship experience downstairs only on the first Sundays of each month (with the kids returning to the sanctuary in time to partake of communion with their families). All other Sundays this summer, we encourage everyone to participate in the full worship experience together.
There are two significant exceptions to this summer schedule:
In Children's Worship, we have been moving a little felt sheep around our felt-board liturgical calendar. We call it our Circle of the Seasons of the Church. The kids have long been excited to see the sheep move to the red Pentecost square, so even though the school year is over, we will meet on June 8th for a Pentecost celebration in Children's Worship.
Because of Labor Day, we will not be meeting on September 7th. The regular school-year schedule resumes September 14th.
Here is a summary with dates:
May 18th: last regular Sunday Children's Worship of the 2024-2025 school year.
June 1: Children's worship is available, returning to the sanctuary in time for communion with families.
June 8 Children's worship is available. This is our special Pentecost Edition of Children's worship.
July 6: Children's worship is available, returning to the sanctuary in time for communion with families.
August 3: Children's worship is available, returning to the sanctuary in time for communion with families.
September 7: NO Children's worship
September 14: Children's worship resumes its every-Sunday regular schedule for the 2025-2026 school year.
