If you listened to any of the choral music at the ceremonies for the late Queen Elizabeth, you heard beautiful choral music. The English choral sound is so unique because voices of all ages are included in the ensemble. Young voices blend so well with older voices and add a purity and clarity to older voices.
Singing is an important way we express and affirm our faith in God. You will benefit so much from singing in a choir. You have the opportunity to learn the great music of our Christian faith. You learn from working with other singers. We know everyone is busy, but the time required is minimal, rehearsal for one hour on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, and Sunday mornings at 10:20 before church.
I invite high school age youth to join our church choir. For high school students who are considering college, you can enhance your collegiate application with this community engagement . . . singing in a community choir. Our church has available college scholarships for high school youth who have participated in the life of the church.
If you want to join the choir, show up on Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm.
