Maundy Thursday and Good Friday

Maundy Thursday: Thursday, April 17, 2025, 6:00pm.

Maundy Thursday is the night Jesus ate his last supper with his disciples. "Maundy" comes from the word Mandate, when Jesus gave us the mandate to "Love one another as I have loved you." This year, the First Presbyterian Church will host a meditative communion service with music from the Taize Community in France. For more information check out our previous blog post about it.

Good Friday: Friday, April 18, 2025.

Our lives are sometimes filled with shadows. Jesus’ final hours were also filled with shadows: the shadow of betrayal, the shadow of desertion, the shadow of lethargy, the shadow of violence, the shadow of denial, the shadow of cynicism, the shadow of irresponsibility, and the shadow of mockery. Please join us on Friday, April 18th, 2025 at 6:00pm at the First Christian Church as we reflect on the profound significance of Good Friday, marking Jesus Christ's crucifixion. All are welcome to come and be a part of this beautiful and meaning service.
