Tag Team Preaching This Sunday

The Spirit moves among us! This Sunday is a happy alignment of Spirit actions.

First, Callie Babcock, daughter of this congregation and one whom we support in school with the Ealey scholarship is going to talk this Sunday about some of her experiences in Zimbabwe this past semester. It might be viewed as a report of what we're getting for our Ealey money, but I've talked to Callie and it will be so much more.

Second, I've been working on my sermon for Sunday, and it will dovetail into Callie's message. This means you get to hear less of me than normal (for some, always a good thing). I will add that I've been really swamped with a variety of distractions (ironically, the Gospel lesson this Sunday is Mary and Martha). After talking to Callie, I realized that our messages go well together, which makes the work I have left to do this week so much more pleasant. It's good to have a colleague in Callie helping lead the worship service this Sunday.

Finally, . . . well, the finally was going to be telling you all about the message(s) this Sunday and how excited I am about them. Let's just say the Spirit teaches us all the time and in all ways. Come Sunday and hear what the Spirit has to say.

Blessings,

Chas
